Shrimp care.
Temperature: keep this product indoors at room temperature between 62-80 degrees F.
Maintained: Use corrosion resistance magnet cleaner to clean algae. Magnet can be picked up again if drop to the bottom. Top off water once a month with distill, if distill water is not available. You may use tap water. Please allow tap water to sit out for 2 days for chlorines to evaporate before refilling your jar.
Do not add other fish or decorations such as resin base product. Introducing new elements to enclosed systems could introduce toxic chemicals.
Please remove bugs that might fall and die into your system.
Lighting: You may leave the light on for 2 weeks to promote algae growth. After 2 weeks, green algae might be forming on the glass and seashells. Please turn it off at this point. Only turn it on when you want more algae.
Feeding: Feeding is optional but not necessary, I personally recommend feeding once every 2/3 weeks for humane reasons. It’s also okay if you don’t, these shrimps can survive from eating bacteria and algae. Feeding will help your shrimp grow faster, help with molding process and color of the shrimp. Over feeding will throw off the ecosystem. Use one small flake of fish food provided. 1 small flake is enough for 2 weeks.
Breeding: Your shrimp might reproduce after 1-2 years. Their eggs are red and visible underneath shrimp’s legs. This tank can hold a maximum of 80-100 adult shrimp.
